Silence hours run from 10:30 pm to 6 am, which matters for night shifts and early calls.
Power is the other half. The diesel generator gives 24-hour power stability, so a BESCOM shutdown in the daytime does not take out the Wi-Fi, the lifts or the lights. What it does not cover is appliances in rooms: irons, induction stoves, kettles and heaters are prohibited in rooms (₹1,000 fine plus confiscation), partly for safety and partly to keep the load where the building is wired for it, in the shared kitchen and the ironing area.
